Literature on the Amazon and from the Amazon: writing and rewriting

This lecture will focus on literature related to the Amazon, travel writing (beginning with Carvajal) and how this literature is now rewritten by Indigenous and Amazonian people. Prof. Nenevé argues that this movement is a decolonial movement which tries to pay more attention to local voices instead of repeating what coloniser people coming from other lands wrote about the local people.
