Oddělení hungaristiky ÚESEBS FF UK zve na anglojazyčnou přednášku významného maďarského lingvisty, anglisty, překladatele a básníka Ádáma Nádasdyho, emeritního profesora budapešťské univerzity ELTE.
Anotace přednášky zde: Hungarian is different from most European languages. Its vocabulary is basically Finno-Ugric – though there are many international words, eg. A szimfónia barokk motívumokat kombinál. The main difference is in Morphology: suffixes get attached to a word, always in the same strict order: tenisz-ez-het-né-nek ’they could play tennis’ and gitár-oz-hat-ná-nak ’they could play the guitar’ – though there are articles, a Western feature: a tánc ’the dance’. Some linguists say Hungarian is just Standard Average European!
