This talk, based on the work of Ansund: Using Machine Learning to Build a new Exhaustive Open Access corpus of Old English, discusses the possibility of building new, exhaustive, hybrid palaeographical-linguistic corpora for the study of Early English, and how traditional philological methodologies can be adapted to work at a new scale, analysing thousands of texts and millions of words.
