Název pracovní pozice: Vědecký pracovník (Russian and East European Studies, Oxford School of Global and Area Studies, Oxfordská univerzita)
Obor a zaměření: postdoktorand se zaměřením na výzkum v oblasti historie studené války a dějin mezinárodních vztahů s důrazem na aktivity zemí východního bloku ve třetím světě. Jedná se o pozici naplánovanou v rámci projektu CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_027/0008495 Mezinárodní mobilita výzkumných pracovníků Univerzity Karlovy)
Předpokládaná mzdová třída: VP2
Úvazek: 0,5 (20 hodin týdně) po dobu 12 měsíců
Popis pracovní činnosti:
6 měsíců vědecký pobyt v Russian and Euroasian Studies Centre, School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies, Oxfordská univerzita:
- zapojení do badatelského týmu přijímající zahraniční instituce, pravidelné konzultace s mentorem
- realizace vlastního konkrétního výzkumného tématu z oblasti historie studené války se zaměřením na aktivity zemí bývalého východního bloku ve Třetím světě
- prohloubení vědecké zahraniční spolupráce s vybranou institucí
- příprava mezinárodní publikace
- aktivní účast na mezinárodní konferenci / semináři / workshopu k tématu probíhajícího výzkumu (v případě, že tato akce bude organizována hostující institucí, musí se jednat o mezinárodní akci)
- během pobytu bude badatel v pravidelném kontaktu s vedoucím svého domovského pracoviště a radou Institutu pro studium strategických regionů
6 měsíců takzvaná návratová fáze spočívající v působení na FF UK následující formou:
- badatel bude pokračovat ve výzkumu a v publikování jeho výsledků
- po návratu bude v semináři ISSR prezentovat výsledky svého bádání a svých zkušeností
- bude nadále v kontaktu se zahraničními kolegy a bude se podílet na realizaci společného badatelského projektu a konference
Požadavky:
- titul PhD. v oboru historie-obecné dějiny
- výborná kompetence v anglickém jazyce slovem i písmem, umožňující realizaci výzkumu a prezentaci výsledků na mezinárodních fórech
- vědecko-výzkumná a publikační činnost v oboru
- zkušenosti s působením ve vědeckých projektech výhodou

- předběžný souhlas vedoucího týmu / supervizora z vybrané zahraniční instituce s přijetím do badatelského týmu a s mentorováním daného výzkumu. Mentor v zahraničí se musí podílet na alespoň jednom mezinárodním grantu či národním grantu za posledních 5 let jako řešitel či spoluřešitel, zároveň se nesmí jednat o interní grant, nebo mentor musí prokázat publikační činnost – v posledních 5 letech minimálně 3 mezinárodně uznatelné publikační výstupy evidované v databázi Thomson Reuters Web of Science, Scopus nebo ERIH PLUS. Zároveň tyto publikace musí být typu „article“, „book“, „book chapter“, „letter“ a „review.“

Field and specialization: post-doc researcher specialized in the study of the history of the Cold War and international relations, especially the activities of the countries of the Eastern Bloc in the Third World. This is a position planned within the project CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_027/0008495 International Mobility of Researchers at Charles University
Workload: 0.5 (20 hours a week) for a period of 12 months
Work description:
6-month research stay at Oxford School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies, University of Oxford
-
- involvement in the research team of the host foreign institution, regular consultations with the mentor
- realization of own specific research topic from the field of the Cold War History, concretely the activities of the countries of the Eastern Bloc in the Third World
- establishment/enhancement of foreign cooperation with the selected institution
- preparation of publication to be published outside Czech Republic
- active participation in the conference / seminar / workshop etc. on a topic related to the research conducted (if this event is organized by the host institution, it must be an international one)
- during the stay the junior will be in constant contact with the director of his home department and the council of the Institute for the study of Strategic Regions
6 months of a so-called return phase involving the following activity at FA CU:

- the researcher will continue the research and publication of its results
- upon returning will present at the seminary of the ISSR the results of his/her research and experiences
- will remain in contact with colleagues from the host foreign institution and realize joint research and conference
Requirements:
- PhD. in the field of General History
- excellent competence in the English, both oral and written, making possible the realization of the research and the presentation of its results on the international forums
- professional and publication activity in the field
- previous experience with research grants is an advantage, but not a requirement

- preliminary consent of the foreign institution’s team leader / supervisor to the acceptance into the research team and mentoring the research in question. The foreign mentor is required to have participated in at least one international or national grant over the last five years as an investigator or co-investigator; at the same time, the grant must not be an internal one, or the mentor must demonstrate publication activity – over the last five years, at least three internationally recognizable publication outputs registered in the Thomson Reuters Web of Science, Scopus or ERIH PLUS database. At the same time, these publications must be „article“, „book“, „book chapter“, „letter“ and „review.“
