The two candidates for the office of Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ass. Prof. Martin Kovář and Dr. Michal Stehlík, presented their programmes to the faculty assembly on 24th November 2005, ahead of the election on 8th December 2005. The new dean of the Faculty of Arts, after being sworn in by the rector of Charles University in Prague, will begin his tenure on 1st February 2006. Financing, especially from external sources, will be a key issue in the coming years at the Faculty of Arts.
