Dean’s Directive No. 8/2026 2026–2027 Academic Calendar
Introductory Provision
The present Directive sets out the 2026–2027 Academic Calendar at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University (“Faculty” and “University”) in accordance with the rules provided in the Code of Study and Examination of CU, as amended, effective until 30 September 2026, the Code of Study and Examination, as amended, effective as of 1 October 2026, and Rector’s Directive No. 14/2026, 2026/2027 Academic Calendar and Rector’s Directive No. 15/2026, Schedule of the Admissions Procedure for Study at Charles University as of the 2027/2028 Academic Year, and also the Rules of Study at the Faculty of Arts of CU, as amended, the Scholarship and Bursary Rules of CU, the Rigorosum Examination Code of CU, the Code of Rules for Educational Activities Evaluation by Students and Graduates, and the Rules for Evaluating Educational Activities by Students and Graduates of the Faculty or Arts of CU.

Final Provisions
1. This Directive was approved by the Rector on 8 July 2026 in accordance with Art. 3 (3) of the Code of Study and Examination of Charles University, as amended, effective until 30 September 2026, and the Academic Senate of the Faculty provided its opinion thereon on 11 June 2026 in accordance with Art. 5 (3) of the Code of Study and Examination of Charles University, as amended, effective as of 1 October 2026.
2. This Directive comes into force and becomes effective on 13 July 2026.
