SUMMER SCHOOL OF SLAVONIC STUDIES

The 57th session of the Summer School of Slavonic Studies (the LŠSS) is designed for beginners and for the specialists of the Slavic and Bohemistic field, postgraduate and undergraduate students, translators and for everybody, who is interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture.The summer school will be held from 26 July–23 August 2013.

Linguistics and geography placed in top 100 of QS ranking

Charles University has confirmed its place amongst the top universities in the world, the only institution in the Czech Republic to do so. The Linguistics and Geography departments were rated in the top 100 in the World University Rankings by Subject, as composed by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds.

Carolinum exhibition remembers Dean Aloys Klar

The golden pen and hammer used by Emperor Franz Josef I in 1907 at the ceremonial start of building work on the new building of the Klar institute are amongst the exhibits on show at an exhibition being held to mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of the founder of care for the blind in Bohemia, Aloys Klar.
