The Creative Laboratory Has Started Its Activities by an Interdisciplinary Conference

The founding conference of the Creative Laboratory Discontinuities in Research, Art, and Experience took place on 1 – 2 December 2016. The main subject of the conference were basic forms and problems of discontinuity in experience, and its aim was to search for a positive approach to discontinuity as a source of connections and unity.

The Creative Laboratory, one of three Humanities Research Centers at the Faculty of Arts, represents a type of research infrastructure which is quite unique in the Czech context, as it facilitates a departure from the established patterns of thought about research, art, and technology by systematically transcending traditional approaches to these phenomena and redraws their boundaries. The key subject of research of the Creative Laboratory is the origin and place of creativity in the Euro-Atlantic space.
