The title may be used only for the duration of the foreign teacher’s employment at Charles University. The title “Visiting Professor” grants the rights and obligations of a member of the Charles University academic community, with the exception of the active and passive right to vote in the Academic Senate.

The title is awarded based on a nomination submitted by the Faculty’s Research Board or, where applicable, a basic unit of the University.
