The Czech Institute of Egyptology at CUFA, deeply regrets to announce that Prof. Břetislav Vachala passed away on 24 June 2020. In the course of his entire life, he tirelessly acquainted both Czech and international public with the ancient Egyptian civilization and its heritage, and with the results of the international Egyptological research.
