- POINT = support for the internationalisation of Charles University – CU POINT website
- short-term international Ph.D. mobility (max. duration of 3 weeks) and organisation of international summer schools and other extracurricular events organised by FA CU
- application may be submitted by a student of a doctoral study programme who has been studying within the standard period of study plus one year – this applies both to the application process and to the abroad stay itself
- the primary aim of the POINT programme is to support mobility which could not be supported from the Erasmus+ programme or other available programmes
- an applicant may submit only one application in the ongoing round
- must be applied before the activity takes place
- student may be granted financial support for travel, accommodation and meals, but it is not possible to apply for a participation fee contribution
- the support is provided for a specific purpose, i.e. it is tied to a particular applicant and activity
- the maximum support for students is 25,000 CZK and for organisers of summer schools and extra-curricular events it is 50,000 CZK
- priority is given to applicants who have not yet received this support
- support does not apply to CEEPUS mobility
- must not be combined with the Mobility Fund or GAUK
International student mobility
- summer/winter schools (does not apply to language courses)
- short-term unpaid professional internships
- international competitions and championships
- conferences with active participation
- representation of CU at international plenaries related to the internationalisation of the University’s activities
For faculties or other CU parts
- organisation of international summer schools and other extracurricular events organised by CU faculties or other units
- “seed money” – one-time or repeated support necessary to establish a given event
- support for a maximum of the first three years
- assumes the following organization of at least three more editions without POINT support
Applications can be submitted twice a year, always 1 – 30 April (spring round) and 1 – 30 November (autumn round).
The spring round applies to activities starting 1 May of the given year.
The autumn round applies to activities starting 1 December of the given year.
The results of the Spring Call are usually published in early June, and the results of the Autumn Call in early January of the following year.
Application
- current call is open until 30 November 2025 (4 pm)
- log in to IsVěda with your CAS account (personal number and password) and start your Application
- select the appropriate form
- in the application you can see a list of documents that need to be uploaded (based on the type of Application)
- application manual
- the allocated financial amount is paid to students as a scholarship (a scholarship document is delivered via the SIS)
- scholarships are paid just before the departure (due to last-minute cancellations, shortenings or postponements of stays), or later at the time when FA CU has the funds available (mainly applies to departures at the beginning of a new calendar year)
- scholarships are paid centrally for the whole FA CU twice a month (around the 5. and 21. day of the month)
- students are obliged to fill in the SIS their account number
- details on the use of funds for the summer school are sent by the International Realtions Office
Note: Students must be students of FA CU for the entire period of their stay abroad
Upon return, the applicant is obliged to submit the final documents, depending on the type of application, within 30 days.
Failure to submit the final documents may result in not being awarded the Mobility Fund in the future.
