Information about processing of personal data of participants in public events organised by CU Arts

The Faculty of Arts, Charles University processes personal data of participants in public events to the extent of name and surname (required for participation) and email address (if voluntarily provided).

Purposes of Processing

• Organisation and registration of participants – attendance records, event administration – legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
• Sending information about upcoming CU FA events – only based on voluntary consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)

Data Retention

• attendance records: up to 5 years
• email address: until consent is withdrawn, max. 5 years

Recipients of Personal Data

Data are accessible only to authorised CU FA staff and processors involved in organising the event. No data are transferred outside the EU.

Rights of Participants

Participants have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, withdrawal of consent, and to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection.
