SHRQ Symposium on Middle Eastern culture

SHRQ Symposium on Middle Eastern Culture is a new comprehensive educational event for Middle Eastern culture enthusiasts offering a better theoretical understanding of the facts and historical and social contexts of Middle Eastern dance and music on an academic level. The program consists of three days of lectures by ethnologists, anthropologists and ethnomusicologists such as Farida Fahmy, Sahra Saeeda, Morocco, prof. Martin Stokes, prof. Karin van Nieuwkerk and others. The evening program consists of a concert of classical egyptian music, an education dance show, a charity fusion dance party and more lectures by our inspiring and experienced guests. The objective of SHRQ Symposium is to create a new ground for people with a deep interest in Middle Eastern culture and to create a dialogue between the academic community and the community of oriental dancers and musicians.
