Workshop for Foreign Employees of CU – Communication Skills

For many of us the way we present our ideas is crucial to our relationships. Having the ability to communicate confidently and correctly in English can enhance your personal effectiveness and work performance, as well as having a big impact on how you are perceived by others.

This practical and interactive webinar will introduce you to some of the skills you need to communicate more effectively at work. The training is hands-on – providing time for reflection, a bit of practice, and some feedback.

By the end of this session, you will have some insight into your own preferred communication style. You will also develop an understanding, and have some useful tools, to help you adapt to the preferred styles of others, in order to make your communication more effective. Finally, we will explore some techniques to positively influence others, and get your point of view across, no matter your level of authority in your organisation.

Course focus areas:

Communication Styles – understanding and adapting to communication preferences

Positive influencing skills

Level:

A CEF level of B2(high)/ – C1/C2 is needed to participate, as it will be taught entirely in English.
