Women in Professional and Public Life in Islamic World

New York University in Prague and the Department of Near Eastern and African Studies, CUFA, cordially invite you to a panel discussion Women in Professional and Public Life in Islamic World on Friday, 2nd February 2018, 1 pm – 3 pm at New York University in Prague (Address: Malé náměstí 11 – Richtrův dům, Prague 1, 2nd floor).

Roles of women in the public life in predominantly Muslim countries is a hotly discussed topic. Featuring experts and international professionals with first hand experience, the panel will provide context and an in-depth view of the topic, focusing on Iran, the Arab world, and Central Asia. Special attention will be devoted to the situation of women in the public life of Azerbaijan, a secular Islamic country.
