The Faculty of Arts, Charles University, has prepared a facility for its PhD students where they can work on their dissertation projects. The room P002 dedicated to PhD students is located on the left on the ground floor of the main building.
“PhD students are crucial to the future of our disciplines. We know that the conditions for their work have long been less than ideal. That is why I am glad that we have managed to find a room in the limited space of the main building of the Faculty of Arts that we can dedicate to them,” said Václav Cvrček, Vice-Dean for Research.
The room has tables, chairs and a new kitchen with a kettle and microwave. In the second half of 2025, the room will be additionally equipped with new furniture and computers from the European Regional Development Fund P JAC. The keys to the room are available for pick-up at the reception desk. The Doctoral Room can be used during the opening hours of the main building, i.e., 7:00 am – 9:00 pm, and the operating rules of the main building, contained in Dean’s Measure 28/2024, apply to the room as well.
