The Protagonist: New Student Academic Journal Founded by Students from CU FA

The journal not only offers to publish students’ works but also provides them with valuable experience as its editors. The Protagonist was founded by students from the Department of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at CU FA. Thematically, it is focused on anglophone countries that are examined from various perspectives. Being an interdisciplinary project, all students from Charles and other universities may join in.

The aim of the journal is to compile comprehensive thematic issues that will focus on diverse questions related to anglophone countries from different academic perspectives. Therefore, the editorial board welcomes all students of humanities.

To achieve international accessibility, The Protagonist is published in English. The journal also accepts papers in Czech, but after they undergo the same editorial procedure as their English counterparts, they will be translated into English.

If you want to contribute to the new journal, you may do one of the following things:

  • become a member of the advisory board (peer review)
  • answer the upcoming Call for Papers at the end of February
  • share the news with anyone who might be interested
