Dr Petra Johana Poncarová working at the Department of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures has been elected depute convenor for Europe of the International Association for the Study of Scottish Literaturesfor the period 2020-2023.
The IASSL is a global association for the study of Scottish Literatures. Its aim is to extend and expand the reach of Scottish literature and to promote Scottish studies globally in research, networking, and academic exchange. The IASSL acts as the steering group for the World Congress of Scottish Literatures, held every three years.
