Project COURAGE Received a Special Mention at the European Museum Academy Annual Meeting

Project COURAGE, in which several members of the Department of Czech History at CUFA participated, was shortlisted for the Cultural Heritage in Motion Award, conferred by the European Museum Academy Annual Meeting in Ljubljana.

Project COURAGE has received a Special Mention. According to the jury’s decision, the Special Mention was awarded „for taking up the challenge of dealing with a period of ‚dissonant heritage‘ and adopting a comprehensive, democratic approach. The versatile website invites its visitors to discover various aspects of these counter-cultures through various means, adapted to different needs, approaches and expectations. It delivers a message of tolerance and freedom of expression, bearing a strong impact on the communities.“

COURAGE (“Cultural Opposition – Understanding the CultuRal HeritAGE of Dissent in the Former Socialist Countries”) was a three-year international research project funded by Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation in 2016 – 2019.
