Call for Postdoc Scholarships for the period of 1st March – 31st December 2019

PROGRES Q07 (“Centre for the Study of the Middle Ages“), Faculty of Arts, Charles University Prague, offers 2–3 nine-month scholarship (March – December 2019) to postdocs or PhD students working in any field of medieval studies. The amount of scholarship is 15,000 CZK per month and part-time (50 %) postdoc position during the specified period.
Eligibility:
Any postdoc who completed their PhD between 2010–2018 or any PhD student working in any field of medieval studies. If the latter, they will be expected either to have submitted their PhD dissertation by the time of application or to have it ready for submission no later than 1 April 2019. PhD students who have not yet finished their study will be expected to start the scholarship period no earlier than on completion of their studies and to continue receiving the scholarship till the end of 2019.
Application package:
- A CV including a list of publications.
- A summary of a research project (5 pages maximum) sufficiently advanced to result in a study to be submitted to a peer-reviewed scholarly journal no later than the end of December 2019.
- A 1-page description of a research grant application, to be prepared at the Faculty of Arts no later than the end of December 2019 for submission in 2020.
- A copy of PhD degree diploma (postdocs) or a letter from the supervisor confirming that the PhD dissertation will be defended no later than 30 June 2019 (PhD students).

All applications will be evaluated by the Board of Progres Q07 (http://hrc.ff.cuni.cz/progres/). Candidates will be informed of the results of the selection by 10 February 2019.
Progres Q07 expects that the next call will be issued for 2020.
