The East and Central European Studies (ECES) Offered a Rich Academic and Cultural Program

This summer, Faculty of Arts welcomed 98 students from 8 different countries from around the world. These students represented 43 different universities, and were participating in classes focused on Central and Eastern Europe and relations between Europe and Asia regions. Their summer studies also included excursions to places of interest outside of Prague within and outside of the Czech Republic, as well as cultural activities within Prague.

The East and Central European Studies (ECES) program at Charles University, Faculty of Arts was founded in 1992, and welcomes over 200 students to Prague each year. ECES is an English-taught program for non-degree seeking students located at Charles University at one of the four faculties founded in the 14th century. Courses are available in Art and Culture, History, Literature, Politics and Economics, History, and Language.
