EBSCO’s Collaboration with the FA Press Enriches EBSCO eBooks in the Humanities

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has partnered with Faculty of Arts Press (Charles University in Prague), a Czech university publisher, to make their e-books accessible via EBSCO eBooks.  The first out of several collections to be made available in EBSCO eBooks was selected from the Varia edition series that has produced more than 30 titles, including monographs in Czech, English, and other languages.

This new partnership will enable students to easily gain access to valuable and diverse content in a number of disciplines taught and researched at the Faculty of Arts: Linguistics, Literary Studies, History, Social Sciences, East Asian Studies, and Ethnology.

All students and academic staff of Charles University have free access to the Faculty of Arts Press e-book collection through eResources Portal of Charles University.

EBSCO eBooks offers over 700,000 e-books and audio books. EBSCO proactively acquires new content in critical areas, based on the dynamic needs of libraries. Accessing the EBSCOhost platform for e-books and audio books saves librarians training time and adds a well-known search platform to the end user’s experience. Allowing end users to search for e-books and audio books along with their EBSCOhost® database content improves the discoverability of library collections. Lowering the cost for libraries makes the decision to focus on or add to e-book and audio book collections easier and more cost-effective.
